Muppets Collection The Glitters

Today I have the Muppets glitters alone. I took pictures a little different today to show how well they cover in one to four coats. On my index is four coats, middle is three, ring is two and pinky in one coat. All pictures are without topcoat.
Fresh Frog of Bel Air is a clear base with small green and large silver Hex glitter.

Gone Gonzo! is a clear base with small light blue and large silver hex glitter.

Divine Swine is a clear base with small purple and large hex glitter.

Gettin' Miss Piggy With It is a clear base with small red and large hex glitter.

Rainbow Connection is a clear base with three sizes of mulit-colored glitter.

Excuse Moi! is a pink base with pink, green and silver glitter.

I love glitter so it is no surprise that I love these. They are beautiful. I do wish OPI had done the glitters all different instead of just different shades though.
 Which is your favorite glitter?

  1. Gettin' Miss Piggy With It and Excuse Moi! are my favorite also when I saw the preview I thought I would love Fresh Frog of Bel Air the best...But I'm not so sure...Fresh Frog of Bel Air looks amazing, too...so yeah, maybe this is my top 3 I would rather say...

  2. Mine would be Divine Swine and Excuse Moi, I guess. It's pink... so no wonder xD I agree that a greater diversity in the glitter itself would have been nice though.

  3. I think I'm deffinitely getting Excuse Moi. The others I have seen some similar looking ones at Forever 21.

  5. Nailderella, I know, it is hard to decide isn't it?

Kayono, I wasn't sure about Excuse Moi at first but now that I have it and have seen it on I really like it!

Angie, I am always a little disappointed when they release glitters that are all the same. I want tons of variety!

Nail Nerd, I always live for the glitter polishes. I don't always wear them a lot but I can hardly pass them up.

  6. I love how you swatched these! Because then you can tell how good they will be for layering or wearing alone!

  7. Last year when OPI released the Burlesque collection I felt underwhelmed... I dare say that I now feel even more underwhelmed than I did last year. 'Excusez Moi' and 'Rainbow Connection' are the only glitters in this collection that I find interesting; the others feel a bit... well, definitely not in the wacky, zany spirit of the Muppets! Can't you see a Kermit-inspired glitter with a yellow-green base and green and gold glitter and silver hex sequins? That would be much more interesting and fun than a basic green glitter with silver hex sequins. *sighs*

  8. did you try them on for a longer time? Absolutely alice and mad as a hatter start chipping on my nails within one day so i was wondering how solid these are on the nails :)

  9. imfeelingnail-venturous, thanks! I know most people will probably want to layer these so I thought it would be best to show them like this.

ANA, yes, I feel the same way. I still love them but I wish they had their own "personality" just like each of the Muppets. I guess we will have to franken our own!

Crystal, I only swatched them for now since I am still working on Halloween. I am sure they will be much like other glitters and chip quicker if they are not layered. I will do a wear test on these soon. Although, Absolutely Alice and Mad As A Hatter usually last a few days for me so it may not help you much.

  11. KarenD, I have been eyeing ATU for a long time but still haven't ordered it yet. I am sure if I ever saw it in person I would have snatched it up by now, it always looks amazing in pictures!

  16. I am gunshy of glitter, because I always have trouble taking it off. I saw how you can do it with foil; I will have to try that with a glitter that I already have before venturing into one of these new ones. That said, the colors are really great!!

  17. I love these! And I also have a cousin that is obsessed with Kermit. it would be a perfect gift!

  18. While I adore some glitters, I loathe taking it off. What is the thing with the foil that Ronette mentioned? Is this an easy way of removing glitter? I really like the overall effect of what you've shown us above too :) nat.

  19. What is the best way to remove these?? I have a real heck of a time removing opi glitters!!!

  20. I like wearing the glitters, and Miss Piggy Gettin With It, would be my choice. However, they are so difficult to remove, even using an nail polish base underneath as recommended. They're such a pain, that I've just about quit using them at all.

  21. Thanks, girls!

Ronette, just make sure you use heavy duty foil, it works the best! I love glitter!

Nat, I have a tutorial on it, it is called by many the Foil Method. It makes taking glitter polish off a breeze! Thanks!

leadsister, the foil method is by far the best way I have found.

Anonymous, try the foil method! It only takes me about 20 minutes to take glitter off and I don't have to scrub.

  24. How do you keep it from chipping? I put on Rainbow Connection and the next day it peeled off in a big spot. I did apply a top coat. I love these glitter polishes and want them to work. I think they should have called Kermit's green glitter "Mistletoad" :O)

  25. Anonymous, if I plan to wear my glitters more than a few days I usually wear two coats of base coat and about three coats of topcoat. Then, apply new topcoat everyday or other day. Plus, I think it helps a lot that I wear gloves to do things like dishes or cleaning where my hands will be in contact with water. Try running your finger along the edge of your nail after applying the glitter to so it doesn't hang over and catch on anything as well. Hope that helps! Ha, Mistletoad would have been funny!
